"He [Jesus Christ] is the head of the body, the church…"
"It was he [Jesus Christ] who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."
Kia ora! Greetings in Christ!
God works in amazing ways, and that's true even in my own life. I grew up in the Philippines. I became a Christian at age 12, and at age 16 I sensed the Lord's call upon my life to go into full-time Christian ministry. I've been privileged to witness through my years in ministry that God is still in the business of changing lives, restoring and blessing families, and calling individuals to a transformed life. It's my honour and privilege and joy to serve God here in Picton as pastor of Picton Baptist Church. My desire is to see the church transformed by God and impacting the wider the community, resulting in the salvation of individuals and families.
I'm happily married to Guan, and we've been blessed with two wonderful children – Angela and Nathan. As a family we love the simplicity of life here in Picton and the proximity to the hills and the sea.
Drop me a note at or email@example.com. Visit my own website at www.dvistar.com. I'd love to get in touch with you. God bless!
It is an honour to serve as an elder at the Picton Baptist
Church. We are a vibrant family-orientated
church with a great praise and worship team.
I have been married for 36 years now, am a father of two and have two grandchildren. My favourite sports are cricket and rugby, and being a former Cantabrian, I support the
Red & Blacks. I really enjoy going fishing, walking and trying
to master the game of golf.
We would very much like to have your company at our Sunday service where I believe you would
hear a fantastic message and be able to participate in some awesome praise and worship.
May God bless you richly!
GARRY & LYNETTE STANLEY
As a couple we are responsible for the financial side of Picton Baptist Church. Other duties include worship leading (Garry), and we are both involved with home group and various other activities. Our journeys started from different ends of the country – with Lynette growing up in the Waikato and Garry from South Canterbury. We were married in Picton Baptist Church eight years ago and being a blended family with six grown up children, we have become regular travellers to different parts of the world visiting our children and seven grandchildren. We feel very blessed to be part of a Christ-centred Church family and we’d love to have you come and worship with us.
